WCC Road Condition Machine Surveys

Published
Published 30 April 2025

Overview

Warwickshire County Council (WCC) County Highways, has a duty to maintain the carriageway network. To ensure we know the condition of the network and can plan treatments to keep the network in as good condition as possible we carry out road condition surveys. There is also a requirement by DfT to provide annual data in line with PAS 2161 and Road Condition Indicator (RCI) 130-01 & RCI130-02 for the classified network. This was not a direct award but a restricted tender from an approved list of suppliers from the Department of Transport that authorities can select from. Local highway authorities are expected to select a technology that is PAS2161 compliant. The list of suppliers were technology providers of PAS2161 demonstrated survey technologies.
