Cookie policy
Last updated: 26 May 2026
This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on justskim.ai and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. Cookies let a site recognise your browser between page loads — for example, to keep you signed in or to remember a preference. Similar technologies (local storage, session storage) work in a comparable way and are covered by this policy.
2. The cookies we set
We keep our cookie use deliberately minimal. Skim does not set advertising cookies and does not share data with ad networks.
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the site to load, route between pages, and maintain basic security state during your visit — including a cookie that remembers your cookie choice (skim_consent). Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent because you have asked us to provide the service that uses them.
Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them in our cookie banner. They help us understand how the site is used — which pages people visit and how they arrive — so we can improve it. We use:
- Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google) — measures page views and traffic sources. IP addresses are anonymised. Cookies such as
_gaand_ga_*typically expire after up to two years. - PostHog (EU-hosted) — product analytics that record anonymous usage of interactive elements, such as clicking “Book a demo”.
No analytics cookies are set until you choose Accept. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Manage cookies link in the footer.
3. Cookies set by third parties we embed
When you visit our demo booking page, we embed Calendly to let you choose a time. Calendly may set its own cookies on your device under its own privacy and cookie policies. We do not control these cookies and do not receive them. If you would prefer not to load Calendly cookies, you can email us at justin@justskim.ai to book a demo by reply instead.
4. Your choices
Analytics cookies are off until you accept them, and you can withdraw consent at any time using the Manage cookies link in the site footer. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off in our systems — the site would not function without them. You can also manage and delete cookies through your browser at any time:
- Search your browser’s help for “manage cookies” to find the settings.
- You can usually choose to block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or delete cookies that are already stored.
- Blocking strictly necessary cookies will likely prevent parts of this site from working.
5. Changes
We will update this policy whenever the cookies we use change. The current set is the one described above on the “last updated” date.
