XC Trains Limited has awarded a contract for the supply of ambient meal solutions for first-class offering, comprising ready-to-eat main courses and starter/tapas snacks with minimum two-month shelf life, including vegetarian and vegan options, all in microwaveable, self-contained packaging compliant with UK food laws. The supplier is also responsible for providing sustainable food packaging and catering consumables, with delivery to at least five UK railway station locations and flexibility to update product specifications seasonally. The contract was awarded on 4 June 2026 with an estimated value of £18 million.
