Overview

The Department for Energy Security & Net Zero awarded a 9-month, £20,000 contract to London South Bank University on 1 June 2026 for additional work on the Transport Industrial and Commercial Refrigeration (TICR) project. The scope extends the existing decarbonisation research to include updated climate and uptake scenario modelling for six cooling end-use sectors, new sector models for domestic and commercial/mobile air conditioning, and development of cooling emission and energy reduction pathways with policy teams. The majority of analysis is required by mid-July 2026.
