Overview

The aim of this research is to build upon recent findings from the British Geological Survey (BGS) and is the next step in furthering our understanding of the geological prospectivity of natural hydrogen in the UK. The research involves the analysis of existing datasets for natural hydrogen occurrences. Findings will be integrated with an evaluation of structural and stratigraphic potential for subsurface natural hydrogen accumulation to further our understanding of natural hydrogen reserves in the UK.
