Supply and Overhaul of Fleet Wide Wheelsets

Network Rail Infrastructure Limited has awarded a multi-supplier framework agreement for the collection, overhaul, and delivery of approximately 2,500 wheelsets per year across its fleet, structured into five lots based on operational groupings and technical complexity. The contract, valued at £123.6 million and awarded on 1 June 2026 to Arlington Fleet Services Ltd, DB Cargo (UK) Limited, Lucchini Unipart Rail Limited, and Pullman Rail Ltd, encompasses overhaul of wheelsets and subcomponents including axles, bearings, brake discs, and gearboxes in accordance with Network Rail technical specifications. Call-offs will be issued via Purchase Orders under the NR13(E) Framework Agreement and NR18(S) PO Conditions.
