Mk4 Wheelset Overhaul Contract

London North Eastern Railway Limited awarded a contract worth £1.86 million to WABTEC UK Limited on 25 June 2026 for the overhaul and refurbishment of Mk4 wheelsets supporting the IC225 fleet. The scope includes removal, overhaul, repair, re-profiling, inspection, testing and reinstallation of wheelsets, with supply of associated materials and components, delivered on a planned call-off basis aligned to fleet maintenance requirements. Works are performed in accordance with agreed maintenance plans, technical specifications and safety requirements, with delivery monitored against defined quality and turnaround expectations.
