S30112 Development of national guidance on the safety and accessibility of stopping places

National Highways Limited awarded Ove Arup & Partners Ltd - SPaTS a contract worth £178,643.90 to develop new national guidance on the safety and accessibility of bus stops and stations across England. The guidance will establish clear standards for design, construction, and maintenance of stopping places to address inconsistencies and improve accessibility for disabled passengers and vulnerable groups. The work includes extensive stakeholder engagement and aims to deliver published guidance by the end of 2026.
