Overview
National Highways want to trial the Miyawaki method of tree planting to determine whether it's a more successful and more climate resilient method of tree establishment when compared to traditional methods. National Highways would like to trial this method at one of our rest stops in the South West in the form of a 250sqm 'tiny forest'. National Highways want to trial this in rest stop due to the social value benefits that a 'tiny forest' can provide, and these areas are where we have the most direct interaction with the travelling public outside of their vehicles.
