The overarching objective of this research project is to support the UK's commitment to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 by accelerating the decarbonisation of concrete through the validation and standardisation of lower carbon binary and ternary blended cements. As a key stakeholder in the UK's infrastructure network, National Highways is committed to enabling this transition through the delivery of its Construction and Maintenance Net Zero by 2040 Plan.
