Overview

Cambridgeshire County Council procured the design and build of a relocated Waterbeach Railway Station, comprising two platforms, an accessible footbridge, 200-space car park, cycle storage, public realm, and a new access road, with demolition of the existing station included. C Spencer Ltd was awarded the contract for £28.6 million on 21 July 2025 under NEC Option A, with the works to be carried out as third-party and outside party works per Network Rail standards. Ownership, operation, and maintenance of the new station will transfer to Network Rail upon completion.
