Overview

The LIFE on Machair Project of Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, is looking for suitable person to protect breeding waders on machair habitat, through the Nest Protection Officer (NPO/Predation Risk Management) role. This CFT relates to Nest Protection in the three different operational areas of Lot 1. Donegal, Lot 2. North Mayo and Achill, and Lot 3. South Mayo and Connemara. The aim of the nest protection programme is to minimise predation of wader eggs and chicks to thus facilitate the maintenance and recovery of breeding wader populations in project sites.
