Iarnród Eireann-Irish Rail commissioned construction works at Grange Station Level Crossing XL186 to provide a new vehicle entrance for the station cottage tenant. The scope included relocating the existing east-facing boundary wall, blocking the old entrance, excavating and levelling ground, rebuilding the boundary wall, constructing a new retaining wall, installing a gravel hardstanding and soakaway, and laying a stone base. CRS Contracts was awarded the contract for €137,318 in November 2025.

    The overall objective of the project is to provide a new vehicle entrance to the tenant of the cottage at Grange Station Level Crossing XL186. To achieve this objective will involve the relocation of the existing East facing boundary wall, blocking up the existing vehicle entrance, excavation of ground to reduce level, rebuilding the East boundary wall and construction of a new retaining wall. Also, required will be the provision of a gravel hardstanding, construction of a soakaway and laying stone base between the rood verge and boundary. All work is located at Grange Station Level Crossing XL186
