The Health Service Executive (HSE) awarded a multi-party framework agreement to Garland on 16 June 2026 for civil and structural engineering services supporting non-acute healthcare capital works in the HSE West region (Galway, Mayo, Roscommon), with project values between €15M and €60M excluding VAT. The initial project involves construction of a new 75-bed community nursing unit at Ballina District Hospital, including demolition, refurbishment of the existing hospital, new carpark areas, and a substation building, with a total floor area of approximately 7,960 m² to be delivered through separate construction contract packages.
