The HSE West has awarded a multi-party framework agreement for architect services (including planning and BIM) to Taylor McCarney Architects on 10 June 2026, covering non-acute healthcare capital works projects valued between €15M and €60M in the HSE West region. The initial project involves constructing a new 75-bed community nursing unit at Ballina District Hospital with extensive refurbishment of the existing hospital, demolition, new car parking, and associated infrastructure works across approximately 10,834 m2, with construction elements to be tendered separately as enabling and main packages.
