Im Rahmen des Vorhabens soll eine hochdynamische Prüfeinrichtung zur mechanischen Prüfung von Probekörpern auf Bauteil- und Baugruppenebene realisiert werden. Dabei wird ein definierter Prüfschlitten beschleunigt und gezielt auf eine Prüfprobe abgeworfen, um die resultierende Kontaktreaktion zu untersuchen. Mit der Forschungsanlage sollen in Prüfszenarien kinematische relevante Messgrößen (Kraft, Weg und Beschleunigung) zeitabhängig ermittelt, sowie zur optischen Analyse Deformations- und Bruchbilder erfasst werden. Die Forschungsanlage ist zur Prüfung großvolumiger Strukturbauteile unter crashrelevanten Geschwindigkeiten und Massen für Impactenergien bis 26 kJ konzipiert. Gegenüber herkömmlicher Fallprüfständen bietet sie einen entsprechenden Platzbedarf für voluminöse Prüfkörper. Die gewonnenen Messdaten sollen wertvolle Erkenntnisse zur Energieaufnahme, Strukturfestigkeit und Schadensentwicklung von Materialien und Bauteilen liefern. Sie dienen der Validierung von Simulationen, der Optimierung von Konstruktionen und der Qualitätssicherung in der Produktentwicklung
