Overview
The National Monuments Service (NMS) Archive Unit requires the services of an archaeologist with archival experience on 450 working days contract to process legacy deposits of archaeological paper records from excavations, legacy business records and files, private sector archives, maps and plans etc. A large volume of paper archives, generated from the business functions of the NMS, including archaeological excavations, remain to be processed in order to provide increased access to internal staff and external stakeholders. This work includes assessment, cataloguing, basic preservation, and rehousing the material in to archive quality boxes.
