Overview

Mayo County Council requires the services of a suitably qualified archaeologist, under licence from the National Monuments Service, Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage and the National Museum, to undertake archaeological excavations of areas of the site where previous archaeological work uncovered some Bronze Age (1500BC) sites, predevelopment testing of other areas within the site and to supervise the fencing off of the buffer zone around a burial ground on the site.
