Overview
This contract is for the provision of Driver Certificate of Professional Competence Training, Module 1, Control of the vehicle and Eco-driving techniques and Module 2, Minimising Risks and Managing Emergencies in the Transport Industry, to Dublin City Council Drivers (approximately 220 drivers). The contract shall be for the provision of the CPC Module 1 in 2025 and CPC Module 2 in 2026 . It is estimated that approximately 220 drivers will require training. The number of drivers / amount of training likely to be required by Dublin City Council is an estimate and is furnished for the assistance of persons proposing to quote. The estimate is not binding on Dublin City Council and the actual numbers trained may be higher or lower. Training dates will be agreed with the contractor, however, it is planned to commence Module 1 training in March 2025 with completion by end the of August 2025, and Module 2 training in March 2026 with completion by the end of August 2026. The courses are to be delivered on week days, excluding Fridays. Specific scheduling will be agreed with the contractor. Dublin City Council will endeavour to fill each course with 16 students (depending on the capacity of the training facility). However, based on past experience, the actual number of attendees will vary from session to session. It is envisaged that approximately 20 sessions will be required. To efficiently record attendance a signed DCC Attendance Sheet must to be returned to DCC Fleet Management Services as early as practicable on the day of each course. The contractor must be able to provide instructor(s) with the required RSA trainer certification to deliver CPC Modules 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. The contractor must provide the instructor with their own laptop and student training materials/manuals as required by the RSA. The contractor shall quote a single price for the provision of the instructor per day of training and a price per student for the course manuals. The contractor must issue the following forms to the drivers on the day of each course: Application for Driver CPC Periodic Training Receipt of Attendance RSA Approved Driver CPC Training Driver CPC Attendance Record / Driver CPC Feedback Form The contractor must upload the driver details to the RSA CPC portal on course completion (a DCC login will be provided) and send the completed Driver CPC Attendance Record / Driver CPC Feedback Forms to the RSA CPC Unit. Dublin City Council has two RSA certified CPC training rooms, one located at Marrowbone Lane and the other at the North City Operations Depot (Ballymun).
