WCCC24 784 – Ballinroad Active Travel Scheme L-3011

This contract comprises the construction of a footpath between Ballinroad village and Clonea Road on the L3011. The proposed scheme consists of the realignment of boundary walls to facilitate the widening of existing footpaths, improvement of pedestrian crossings, junction treatment, new footpath construction and placemaking. As part of the Active Travel works in the area, the objective is to prioritise safe pedestrian and cyclist access between Ballinroad village and the Clonea Road roundabout, improve visibility through signposting and public lighting, and reduce vehicle speeds in the area.
