Cork County Council has completed the upgrade of Mallow Swimming Pool, a recreational facility originally built in the mid-1990s, through mechanical and structural works awarded in May 2025. The scope included modernization of changing facilities, creation of new staff and administration areas, building fabric upgrades (roof, insulation, windows, doors), replacement of mechanical systems (AHUs, heat pumps), complete electrical infrastructure renewal, and a front extension to enhance the facility's energy efficiency and user experience while reducing fossil fuel reliance.
