WCCC23 624 Proposed Refurbishment of Moore's Hotel Cappoquin

Waterford City and County Council procured the refurbishment of Moore's Hotel in Cappoquin, a derelict building from circa 1870, converting it into office space on the ground and basement levels and a separate 3-bedroom dwelling unit on the upper floors. The works included reconstruction of the return, new floors and roof, staircase, finishes, mechanical and electrical installations with a lift, facade repairs, window replacement, roof terrace provision, and conservation works across approximately 210 square meters of gross internal floor area. The contract was awarded to a contractor on 1 May 2025 for €718,489.97.
