Roofing with Mechanical and Electrical Services upgrade works to existing North Building of Dundalk Institute of Technology

Dundalk Institute of Technology has awarded roofing and mechanical and electrical services upgrade works to the North Building for €3,553,457.53. The scope includes replacement of roof membranes, thermal insulation upgrades, replacement of mechanical and electrical infrastructure to modern standards, asbestos removal, installation of new roof lights and windows, replacement of boiler plant with air source heat pump equipment, and associated builders works. Works commenced in September 2023 during the academic year with restrictions on noisy working, and the buyer reserves the right to extend the contract to include similar works on the adjacent South Building.
