The National Library of Scotland and National Records of Scotland have awarded a contract to KLUG-CONSERVATION, Walter Klug GmbH & Co. KG for the supply and delivery of archival boxboard in various sizes and weights, valued at £577,000. The boxboard will be cut and folded on-site using KasemakeCAD box-making machines to create storage boxes that protect collection materials from environmental damage, light, dust, and water exposure in compliance with ISO 16245:2009 and BS 4971:2017. The contract also includes uplift of pallets and boxboard off-cuts.
