Overview

The Scottish Government's Marine Directorate awarded a contract to Ocean Ecology for £359,210 to conduct marine ecological sampling across four offshore wind farm sites on Scotland's east coast and adjacent control areas. The sampling will target fish, benthic, and plankton species across three phases (winter 2025–spring 2026, summer 2026, and autumn 2026) as part of the ECOCHANGE Project to assess how offshore wind farm infrastructure affects North Sea food web structure and marine biodiversity.
