A9 Dualling: Tay Crossing to Ballinluig

Transport Scotland awarded Wills Bros Civil Engineering Ltd a £152.7 million contract on 31 July 2025 to design, construct, and maintain the A9 Dualling project from Tay Crossing to Ballinluig, involving the upgrade of approximately 5 miles of single carriageway to dual 2-lane all-purpose roads standard. The scope includes construction of seven left-in left-out junctions, a roundabout, two new bridge structures, upgrades to existing structures and side roads, and associated earthworks, drainage, environmental mitigation, and traffic management. The project is now in delivery and forms part of the wider A9 dualling programme to improve operational performance, safety, and active travel integration in the corridor.
