Overview

The Department for Science, Innovation & Technology, on behalf of the UK Space Agency, is planning a competitive procurement for feasibility studies on delivering a UK In-Orbit Servicing mission to demonstrate an RPOD-enabled spacecraft life extension service by 2030. The applied R&D contracts are intended to mature technical, commercial, risk, and cost evidence to inform a Green Book-compliant business case for the ISAM In-Orbit Demonstration Programme. Currently in the planning stage, the buyer expects to award a minimum of three six-month contracts from a total indicative budget of £2,100,000, capped at £700,000 per project.
