The London Borough of Haringey has awarded a contract worth £29,700 to The National Literacy Trust for delivery of the Early Words Together programme, which supports families with children aged 3 to 4 across Best Start Family Hubs, Children's Centres and community settings. Over six weeks, practitioners and volunteers deliver the programme to small groups, helping parents develop the home learning environment and support early language and literacy development. Independent evaluation has demonstrated statistically significant improvements in children's receptive vocabulary skills and parent engagement in home learning behaviours.
