NHS England is commissioning a research and development project worth £60,000 to improve access to culturally competent, trauma-informed cervical screening and HPV self-testing services for women and people with a cervix who have experienced sexual abuse, trauma, or female genital mutilation. The project will explore current accessibility barriers, scope international interventions and existing training resources, assess practitioner competence and confidence, and develop and trial educational assets to support healthcare workers in providing appropriate care. The submission deadline is 18 September 2026.
