  Provision of maintenance, operation, inspection, environmental monitoring and sampling services at Central Bedfordshire Council's closed landfill sites at Sundon and Bluewaters. The services include operation and maintenance of the Sundon Leachate Treatment Plant, management of environmental compounds and associated infrastructure, site inspections, monitoring and sampling activities, data recording and reporting, maintenance repairs, regulatory liaison and support in relation to environmental compliance requirements. The Contractor will be responsible for delivering the routine operational and environmental monitoring requirements associated with the Council's closed landfill sites in accordance with the Specification and Contract Requirements.

  Provision of specialist environmental consultancy services to manage and deliver the surrender of the Environment Agency Permit for Sundon Closed Landfill Site. The services include liaison with the Environment Agency, review and assessment of environmental monitoring data, preparation and submission of permit surrender documentation, technical advice, management of regulatory requirements and support throughout the permit surrender process until all necessary approvals have been obtained. Suppliers may bid for this lot independently or in conjunction with Lot 1.
