Interim Highway Services - Birmingham

Birmingham City Council has awarded a contract to Kier Transportation Limited for interim highways maintenance and operational services across Birmingham's highways network, valued at £120 million. The contract, originally procured under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, is being extended via a variation agreement to run until 31 July 2028 (with a possible extension to 30 April 2029) to maintain service continuity while the Authority develops a long-term replacement solution following withdrawal of Department for Transport funding for the highways PFI project.
