Selsey West Beach Urgent Works

Chichester District Council has awarded J.T. Mackley & Co. Limited a contract worth £739,636 to undertake urgent repair and stabilisation works on approximately 250 metres of deteriorating coastal defences at Selsey West Beach. These works are being undertaken as a risk mitigation measure ahead of the main Selsey Coastal Scheme, which is not expected to commence construction until 2030 at the earliest, and are essential to prevent emergency failures that would increase future scheme costs.
