Overview

Diamond Light Source has awarded Instrument Design Technology Limited a contract worth £228,000 to design, manufacture, and deliver an opto-mechanical multiple mirror system for the InfraRed beamline B22 as part of the Diamond-II upgrade programme. The system will comprise an Ultra High Vacuum vessel with support structures and fine adjustment mechanisms to accommodate three synchrotron IR mirrors, each with motorised 3-point kinematic motion for optical alignment. The work is currently in delivery and nearing completion.
