Nuclear Innovation and Research Advisory Board (NIRAB)

The Department for Energy Security & Net Zero has awarded a contract worth £460,000 to the United Kingdom National Nuclear Laboratory to support the reconvening of the Nuclear Innovation and Research Advisory Board (NIRAB), an independent expert advisory body providing advice on risk-based regulatory decision-making in the nuclear sector. The scope includes developing the Board's governance and operating framework, drafting Terms of Reference, defining roles and responsibilities, running recruitment processes, stakeholder engagement, and providing secretariat support for Board meetings.
