Walsall Council awarded a contract worth £250,000 to The Cyrenians Ltd on 5 May 2026 to provide a sex worker outreach service in the borough. The service delivers trauma-informed, flexible support to individuals involved in sex work and survivors of sexual abuse, with aims including building community trust, reducing involvement in sex work and exploitation, improving health and wellbeing outcomes, and increasing engagement with support services through collaboration with local partners. The contract runs from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2028, with three optional 12-month extensions available until 31 March 2031.
