Further development and annual updates to the Global Environmental Impacts of Consumption indicator

JNCC Support Co has awarded a contract worth £299,948 to the University of York for further development and annual updates to the Global Environmental Impacts of Consumption (GEIC) indicator, a global biodiversity impact measure. The scope includes producing annual data updates and dashboard maintenance, enhancing commodity-specific impact assessments, improving metals and minerals footprint data, advancing uncertainty communication, investigating resource security applications, and exploring the addition of social metrics to the indicator.
