Provision of a deep geothermal solution

Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a development partner to design and develop a deep geothermal solution for the hospital site, with an estimated project value of £30 million. The successful tenderer will propose staged development gateways aligned with Salix Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme grant requirements, with funding drawdowns upon completion of each gateway, potentially leading to a long-term Energy Services Agreement if commercially viable. The geothermal system will interface with existing energy infrastructure being addressed by a separate Carbon and Energy Fund partner, and will support the Trust's statutory net zero requirements.
