UKRI has awarded Technopolis a contract worth £546,455 to provide evaluation materials and services for the UK Research & Innovation Materials Innovation Programme, a £59 million initiative running from FY 26/27 to FY 29/30 to accelerate the translation of critical material innovations into applications across Advanced Manufacturing, Energy, Digital Technologies, Defence, and Life Sciences. The programme aims to tackle fragmentation across disciplines, establish stakeholder networks, streamline infrastructure access, and address commercialisation challenges and strategic material gaps to strengthen UK sovereign capabilities.
