Thames Freeport Skills Programme 2027

Thames Freeport has awarded contracts to six training providers—Barking and Dagenham College, Centre for Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence Ltd, Community Coworking Ltd, South Essex College, The STC Group, and USP College—to deliver the Thames Freeport Skills Programme. The programme funds vocational and technical training aligned to local economic priorities across Barking and Dagenham, Havering, and Thurrock, including pre-apprenticeship courses, qualification-based vocational training in construction and manufacturing, upskilling for employed adults, and employer-linked training with a focus on emerging technologies. All delivery must take place within the Thames Freeport region with physical locations established in the three boroughs.
