Brooksby Incinerator PLC Systems and Scada Modifications

The Pirbright Institute awarded Luhrfilter Limited a contract worth £248,900 on 6 May 2026 to undertake incinerator software rewrite, comprehensive testing, and hot commissioning works at the Brooksby facility. The scope includes modification and testing of programmable logic controllers, SCADA system software updates, development of new HMI screens, full operational testing, hot commissioning, staff training, and updates to functional design specification documents. This work is essential to ensure the incinerator meets SAPO4 licensing conditions and operates reliably across the building's containment barrier.
