Planning Services Consultant for the New Wing

The National Gallery appointed THE PLANNING LAB LIMITED as Planning Consultant for £148,200 (against an estimated value of £200,000) to deliver planning consultancy services across RIBA Stages 1–7 for a new building integrated with the existing National Gallery estate on Trafalgar Square. The role encompasses leading planning strategy, coordinating with Westminster City Council and Historic England, preparing planning and Listed Building Consent applications, and providing ongoing advice through design, procurement, and construction phases within a sensitive heritage and constrained urban context.
