Central Automatic Vehicle Location processing and reporting system

Merseytravel procured a Central Automatic Vehicle Location (CAVL) system from Corvia Limited trading as Ticketer for £1,062,497, awarded in April 2026. The GPS-based fleet monitoring solution provides real-time vehicle tracking across the bus network to improve operational control, service reliability, and passenger information delivery through on-street displays and mobile applications. The system generates operational and performance data to support service monitoring, network planning, and service optimisation, and the contract is currently in delivery.
