North Pennines National Landscape Partnership Peatland Restoration Framework

Durham County Council has awarded a peatland restoration framework to eight contractors: Conservefor LTD, Dinsdale Moorland Specialists Ltd, Field Fell Environmental Ltd, JW Bainbridge Contractors Ltd, Marsden AES, Net Zero (North) Ltd, and Terra Firma Environmental Limited. The framework, valued at approximately £5,005,000, covers peatland restoration works including fencing, moss brash spreading, reprofiling, installation of wooden, stone or coir dams, peat dams, and application of lime, fertiliser and seed across the North Pennines National Landscape Partnership area. The agreement runs for an initial two years with an option to extend for up to two further 12-month periods, with no guaranteed minimum volume of works.
