Overview
CITB, the Industry Training Board for the construction industry is seeking to commission a contractor to deliver research on employee retention in the construction sector and workforce flows into and out of the sector.
Furthermore, CITB want to understand the volume and characteristics of cohorts/groups of workers in the construction and quantify who are more at risk of leaving the sector. This will enable resources to be directed at the cohorts who are the most preventable in terms of leaving the sector. Ultimately, the aim of this research project is to provide a complete overview of employee retention in the construction sector. This includes exploring why people leave the sector (indefinitely and returners) and to determine if there are any trends in characteristics of leavers.
