Provision of food inspections for regulation and enforcement services

Birmingham City Council has awarded a framework agreement for food inspections and regulation enforcement services to Osborne Richardson Limited for £479,675. The contract, which commenced in July 2026 for four years, covers food hygiene and standards inspections across approximately 11,100 food businesses in Birmingham, with an anticipated 4,500 to 5,000 primary inspections annually. The supplier will be engaged on an as-needed basis to conduct inspections including food hygiene checks, food standards assessments, and duty of care inspections.
