The Department for Transport appointed BSI Standards Limited on 28 April 2026 for £1,646,400 to deliver Phase 4 of the Connected and Automated Mobility Standards Programme. The work continues previous phases since 2019 to develop technical standards guiding industry best practice in CAM technology development, testing, trialling and deployment, with objectives to accelerate UK CAM deployments, support UK leadership, align with international standards, and strengthen ecosystem collaboration.
