GMCA 1134 North West Community Flood Resilience Engagement Support Services

Greater Manchester Combined Authority has awarded a £2.1 million contract to NEWGROUND CIC to provide neutral intermediary engagement and support services helping flood-affected and at-risk communities across the North West of England build resilience to flooding and coastal change. The service involves working with 24 Lead Local Flood Authorities, 12 district councils, the Environment Agency, and United Utilities to inform and educate residents, businesses, and farmers, while maintaining impartiality between communities and flood risk management authorities. The provider will manage and develop a public-access website as a key component for delivering consistent information and extending engagement reach.
