UK6 - MACE - Hangar Services Uplift

The UK Ministry of Defence has awarded a contract worth £1,040,520 to Storm Aviation Limited for the provision of hangarage services and supporting aircraft maintenance at Glasgow Prestwick Airport for a 23-day period. The work supports Project MACE, which involves relocating the RAF's Voyager A330 air-to-air refuelling tanker fleet while runway resurfacing takes place at RAF Brize Norton, ensuring the critical aircraft remain airworthy and compliant with Military Aviation Standards. The contract was awarded as a direct award under the Procurement Act 2023 on defence and security grounds, as Storm Aviation is the sole supplier capable of meeting the security and technical requirements for hangarage rental and supporting manpower services.
