The service is an independent NISTA Gate 5 assurance review for the Frontline Digitisation Programme, which is entering its formal close‑down phase after four years and must be removed from the Government Major Projects Portfolio by 31 March 2026. The review, commissioned through HM Treasury, provides external assurance to assess programme closure readiness, verify delivery outcomes, and confirm that lessons learned, benefits, and close‑down requirements have been met. This work will be carried out by NISTA, with external reviewers used if required, and represents the mandatory final assurance step before the programme concludes.
