Bulk and Persistent Organic Pollutants Waste Disposal Services - Portsmouth 2026

Portsmouth City Council has awarded T J WASTE & RECYCLING LIMITED a contract worth £1,840,000 for the disposal and recycling of bulk and persistent organic pollutants (POPs) waste on a continuous, year-round basis. The contract covers two lots: bulk waste (approximately 652 tonnes annually) and POPs waste, primarily upholstered seating (approximately 48 tonnes annually), collected from Council housing estates and owned land. The supplier was selected as the Most Advantageous Tender and operates appropriately licensed facilities with contingency provision.
